Detalles importantes: 

 

– Cuando utilizamos los tiempos continuos (menos el presente continuo) buscamos darle mas importancia a la acción.

– Cuando en un ejercicio nos pidan distinguir entre un tiempo continuo o un tiempo simple, un truco muy bueno es entender si la acción es repetitiva o no. Una acción repetitiva podría ser andar, leer o comer, pero no tropezar. Una persona que tropieza continuamente tiene un problema y no es de saber o no ingles. 

– Cuanto utilizamos el pasado perfecto o futuro perfecto suele ser por que nos referimos a algo que ocurrió antes de ese pasado o futuro. 

Explicación de los tiempos verbales en ingles con ejemplos

1. Presente Simple (Simple Present)

Uso: Se utiliza para hablar de hábitos, verdades generales y rutinas. Conjugación: Sujeto + verbo base (añadir ‘s’ o ‘es’ para la tercera persona singular).

 

Ejemplos:

  • Yo estudio (I study).
  • Ella trabaja (She works).

2. Presente Continuo (Present Continuous)

Uso: Para hablar de acciones que están sucediendo en el momento de hablar o planes futuros. 

Conjugación: Sujeto + am/is/are + verbo con -ing. 

 

Ejemplos:

  • Estoy estudiando (I am studying).
  • Él está comiendo (He is eating).

3. Pasado Simple (Simple Past)

Uso: Para hablar de acciones completadas en el pasado. Conjugación: Sujeto + verbo en pasado (regular: añadir -ed; irregular: forma especial). 

 

Ejemplos:

  • Yo estudié (I studied).
  • Ella fue (She went).

4. Pasado Continuo (Past Continuous)

Uso: Para hablar de acciones que estaban sucediendo en un momento específico en el pasado. 

Conjugación: Sujeto + was/were + verbo con -ing. 

 

Ejemplos:

  • Yo estaba estudiando (I was studying).
  • Estábamos comiendo (We were eating).

5. Futuro Simple (Simple Future)

Uso: Para hablar de acciones que sucederán en el futuro. Conjugación: Sujeto + will + verbo base. 

 

Ejemplos:

  • Estudiaré (I will study).
  • Él comerá (He will eat).

6. Futuro Continuo (Future Continuous)

Uso: Para hablar de acciones que estarán ocurriendo en un tiempo futuro. 

Conjugación: Sujeto + will be + verbo con -ing. 

 

Ejemplos:

  • Estaré estudiando (I will be studying).
  • Estarán bailando (They will be dancing).

7. Presente Perfecto Simple (Present Perfect Simple)

Uso: Para hablar de acciones que ocurrieron en un tiempo no especificado antes del presente. 

Conjugación: Sujeto + has/have + verbo en participio pasado. 

 

Ejemplos:

  • He estudiado (I have studied).
  • Ha comido (He has eaten).

8. Presente Perfecto Continuo (Present Perfect Continuous)

Uso: Para hablar de acciones que comenzaron en el pasado y continúan en el presente o acaban de finalizar. 

Conjugación: Sujeto + has/have been + verbo con -ing. 

 

Ejemplos:

  • He estado estudiando (I have been studying).
  • Han estado jugando (They have been playing).

9. Pasado Perfecto Simple (Past Perfect Simple)

Uso: Para hablar de acciones que ocurrieron antes de otra acción en el pasado. 

Conjugación: Sujeto + had + verbo en participio pasado. 

 

Ejemplos:

  • Yo había estudiado (I had studied).
  • Ella había ido (She had gone).

10. Pasado Perfecto Continuo (Past Perfect Continuous)

Uso: Para hablar de acciones que estaban ocurriendo antes de otra acción en el pasado. 

Conjugación: Sujeto + had been + verbo con -ing.

11. Futuro Perfecto Simple (Future Perfect Simple)

Uso: Para hablar de acciones que se habrán completado en un momento específico en el futuro. 

Conjugación: Sujeto + will have + verbo en participio pasado.

  • Habré estudiado (I will have studied).
  • Habrán terminado (They will have finished).

12. Futuro Perfecto Continuo (Future Perfect Continuous)

Uso: Para hablar de acciones que estarán ocurriendo hasta un momento específico en el futuro.
